Q. [Deleting Usage History] I no longer wish to use Coupang Play. Can I delete my usage history?

Coupang Play is a free content streaming service provided to Coupang members (excluding certain paid content).
 
If you no longer wish to use Coupang Play, you may cancel your Coupang membership or request the deletion of your Coupang Play usage history.
 
- How to delete usage history: In the Coupang Play app, App Settings (top right) → Customer Service → Call Customer Support (1600-9800) or submit your request to our main email (playprepresent@coupang.com)
 
Once your Coupang Play usage history is deleted, all active passes, one-off purchase items, and coupons will be permanently removed. Except for information that must be retained in accordance with applicable laws, your personal data will be deleted, and you will no longer be able to access your Coupang Play profile, watch history, or other related information.
 
Once your request to delete your usage history has been submitted, it cannot be withdrawn. If you wish to use Coupang Play again, you may do so freely by agreeing to the Coupang Play Terms of Use.

Q. [How to Use] Guide to the Multi-View feature: Watch up to four games simultaneiously

Coupang Play offers the Multi-View feature so that you can enjoy sports in a more diverse way.
 
You can watch up to four games simultaneously on PC and mobile devices and freely choose your preferred games.
 
The Multi-View feature is available on supported devices with the latest version of the app and a stable network connection.

- Galaxy Note10 or later
- Galaxy S20 or later (including FE)
- All Galaxy Foldable models
- Galaxy Tab S7 or later (excluding FE and Lite)

Q. [How to Use] Information on 4K and HDR support for live sports broadcasts

Coupang Play offers the best viewing experience through high definition (4K) and vivid colors (HDR), allowing you to enjoy live sports broadcasts in a more vivid and immersive way across all platforms.

 

4K and HDR picture quality is available on devices that support these features, with the latest app version, and in a stable network environment.

 

Supported video quality may vary depending on the manufacturer, model, settings, and compatibility of your device. Please contact your device manufacturer to check whether your device supports 4K/HDR.

 

■ 4K/HDR live sports streaming is available for select leagues and matches, and is exclusive to Sports Pass subscribers.
■ When watching via a TV or monitor, the TV or monitor, the device, and the connection cable must all support 4K and HDR.

 

※ For live sports broadcasts, the commentary team and operational setup may be adjusted depending on on-site circumstances.

※ Sports replay content (highlights, full matches, etc.) is currently available in up to 4K on TVs and mobile devices, and in up to 1080p on the PC web version for service stability. We appreciate your understanding.


Coupang Play will continue to expand its support to allow you to enjoy high-quality content on more devices.

Q. [How to Use] 4K resolution is supported on smart TVs.

Coupang Play supports content playback in up to 4K resolution on smart TV devices.

 

Devices that currently support 4K resolution are as follows:

 

■ LG Smart TV webOS 3.5 (2017 model) or above
※ However, the TV device must be a model that supports UHD.

■ Samsung Smart TV Tizen 3.0 (models manufactured after 2017) or above
※ However, the TV device must be a model that supports UHD.

 

We plan to continue updating so that you can watch in 4K resolution on various devices.

Q. [How to Use] Can I delete my watch history?

If you’d like to delete your watch history, follow these steps:
 

■ [Profile] → Click [Watch History] → Click the [More] (three dots) button on the right side of the title → Select [Remove from Watch History]

Q. [How to Use] I’d like to change the subtitle size and style.

Depending on your viewing environment, you can set the size, background color, and opacity of the subtitles using the methods below. However, on mobile devices, some content may not support subtitle style changes due to device limitations.
 
■ Android
- Device [Settings] → [Accessibility] → [Hearing Assistance] → [Subtitle Settings] → [Subtitle Size and Style]
 
■ iOS
- Device [Settings] → [Accessibility] → [Subtitles and Closed Captions]
 
■ PC
- In the Coupang Play PC version (www.coupangplay.com), click [Audio & Subtitles] → [Subtitle Style] tab at the bottom of the player to set the subtitle size, position, and background opacity.

Q. [How to Use] I want to hide the scores of completed sports matches.

You can change the settings for completed game results via the path below.
 
■ Mobile/Tablet
 
- Tap the [Sports] tab at the top → [Schedule] → toggle [Scores ON/OFF] in the top-right corner
- Tap the [Sports] tab at the top → [Sports Leagues] → tap an individual league → toggle [Scores ON/OFF] in the top-right corner of the page

- Go to [Profile] → tap the [Settings] icon in the top-right corner → toggle [Display of sports scores]

Q. [How to Use] How do I verify my age?

To watch content rated for adults only, a one-time age verification is required.

Coupang Play has introduced profile-based age verification to strengthen viewing restrictions by age. Please note that each profile within an account must complete a one-time age verification process.

For instructions on how to verify your age, please refer to the information below.

- Age verification is only available on mobile/tablet apps and computers. Please complete the verification on one of these devices before watching on a Smart TV.

- Age verification is conducted through Korea Mobile Certification (KMC) and remains valid for one year. Only users aged 19 and older are eligible. Please note that verification is available starting from your birthday in the year you turn 19.

Q. [How to Use] The model name of my iPhone (iPad) shows up differently.

Please note that the iOS device information in [Profile] → [Settings] icon on the top right → [Registered devices] displays the device code number (or identification code), not the device model name.
For example, the iPhone 15 devices appear as iPhone15,4 and the iPhone 15 Pro devices iPhone16,1. For more detailed information about the device code number (or identification code), we recommend you contact Apple Support.

Coupang Play Club is a reward program introduced to provide richer experience to WOW members.

 


Coupang Play Club, which is an exclusive reward program for WOW members, provides benefits such as admission to Coupang Play's original content studios such as SNL and eligibility for various ticket application events based on the points earned through watching content on Coupang Play.

 


You can check your points and ongoing events arranged by Coupang Play Club at the top of the [Profile] menu in the Coupang Play app. The higher your points and rank, the higher your chances of winning the events. Check out the tips below to help you earn more points.

Q. [How to use] Coupang Play is officially supported on Android TV.

Coupang Play is available on Android TV from April 4, 2022. Please note that Coupang Play currently supports Android TV devices running Android 6.0 or later. Search for Coupang Play in the Google Play Store for Android TV, download it, and start watching!

 


(Apr/04/2022) The app exclusively for Android TV was released. 
(Jun/23/2022) The sports live broadcasts menu is available starting in app version 2.0.1-b68 (152) onward.
(Oct/04/2022) The sports highlights tab is available starting in app version 2.0.2-b78 (178).

Q. [How to Use] New Content Review and Rating Features

Content review and rating features are now newly available on Coupang Play. Before watching content, you can check ratings and reviews in the Review tab on the content detail page and recommend helpful reviews.

 

■ How to Write a Review
- If you’ve watched content that left a strong impression, please share a helpful review and rating after viewing so that future viewers can refer to them. You can write a review either through the rating popup that appears after watching the content or via the Review tab on each content’s detail page.

 

- Please make sure to follow Coupang Play’s review policy when writing your review. If your review contains spoilers, be sure to mark it as a spoiler to respect other viewers’ experiences. Reviews that do not align with the purpose of ratings or violate the review policy may be hidden according to our guidelines.

 

- You can check the reviews you can write and delete previously written reviews under [Profile] → [My Reviews].

Q. [How to Use] I want to delete a review that I can write.

If there’s content you don’t want to write a review for, you can delete it from the [To Review] menu.

 

Go to [Profile] → [My Reviews], then in the [To Review] tab, find the content you’ve finished watching but don’t want to review. Click the three-dot button next to it and select [Delete from the list].

 

Please note: Once deleted from the To-Review list, you’ll need to finish watching the content again in order to be able to leave a rating or write review from its detail page.

Q. [How to Use] I would like to report an inappropriate review.

If you come across a review that violates Coupang Play’s operating policy, please use the review reporting feature to help maintain a healthy and safe Coupang Play community. The Coupang Play team will promptly review the reported user review in accordance with internal operating policies and determine whether it should be hidden.

■ How to report a content review
To report a review, click More (three dots) to the right side of each review, select [Report], and describe the reason for reporting. You can select any number of applicable reasons for reporting shown below. Describe the reason and click [Report] to submit your report.

■ Reason for reporting
- Vulgar or obscene language
- Violent content
- Hateful or discriminatory remarks
- Fraud or false information
- Illegal activities or sales
- Violation of reputation, portrait rights, or privacy
- Infringement of intellectual property rights
- Spam (e.g., repetitive or irrelevant comments)
- Spoilers
- Other

If a false report is submitted without a valid reason, the reporter may face restrictions on their activity. Please use the reporting feature cautiously.

Q. [How to Use] A new iOS AirPlay feature has been added.

Coupang Play supports AirPlay from iOS 1.14.1. Select screen mirroring on your iOS mobile device or click the AirPlay icon located at the top right of the Coupang Play app player to connect. When mirroring, don't forget to make sure that the TV device and the mobile device you're trying to connect are on the same network!

 


If you are using a version older than 1.14.1, you can use it after updating to the latest version of Coupang Play . Enjoy Coupang Play content on a bigger screen with AirPlay!

Q. [How to Use] Can I use Coupang Play on a smart TV?

First, download the Coupang Play app from the Smart TV app store, then go to [Profile] in the Coupang Play mobile app → [Settings] icon at the top right → [Connect New Devices]. You can connect to the TV by scanning the QR code or using the code number to watch.
※ For Android TVs, you can log in with your Coupang ID and password after clicking the [Sign in with ID/PW] button.
 


The devices that the Coupang Play app supports are as follows:

You can download the app by following the instructions below, which may vary depending on your smart TV model.

1. Enter Coupang or Coupang Play in the search section in Apps or on the Home screen.
2. Install Coupang Play from the Video category

 

■ LG Smart TV
- Select the Search icon (magnifying glass) at the top of the LG Content Store to search for the app.

- You can search for Coupang Play in the Google Play Store for Android TV and download the app.

 

■ Apple TV
- You can search for Coupang Play in the App Store on Apple TV and download the app.

Q. [How to Use] How can I download the app?

For Android devices, you can search for Coupang Play in the Google Play Store, and for iOS devices, you can search for Coupang Play in the App Store to download the app.

Please note that the Coupang Play app is only available for download from app stores linked to accounts registered in the Republic of Korea.

Q. [How to Use] Can I use it overseas?

Coupang Play is currently available only in Korea, so please note that its use may be limited overseas. We kindly ask for your understanding if you are currently traveling abroad or have moved to another country.

Q. [How to Use] What devices can I use to watch Coupang Play?

Coupang Play is available on all mobile devices running Android 6 or later and iOS 13 or later. However, for iOS devices, version 1.94.0 or later of the app can be installed on devices running iOS 15 or later to ensure stable performance.

(Feb. 4, 2021) The Chromecast feature was updated.
(Feb. 18, 2021) A tablet-exclusive app was released.
(Mar. 7, 2021) A dedicated app for LG and Samsung Smart TVs was released.

Q. [How to Use] How many devices can I register?

You can register up to 5 devices per account, and you can watch content only on registered devices. When the maximum of five devices has been registered, you will need to remove one of the existing devices before registering a new one.


You can freely delete or add devices at the following path, except for the device currently in use.

- Progress Bar: Check and navigate the total video length and current playback position

- Screen Brightness: Adjust brightness by dragging up or down on the brightness icon on the left side of the player

- Skip Video: Double-tap the left or right side of the player to rewind or skip forward 10 seconds

- PIP Mode: Watch in multi-window mode using the icon at the top left corner

- Mirroring: Tap the mirroring button in the top right corner to cast the video to another device

- Recommended Content

- Episodes: View available seasons and episodes

- Next Episode: Jump straight to the next episode

- Skip Intro: Tap the Skip Intro button that appears during the opening to jump straight to the episode content 

 


■ Tap the More (three dots) button at the top right of the player screen to access the following player settings.

Resolution

- Subtitles/Audio

- Playback Speed: Adjust the playback speed of the video 

- Screen Lock: Disable all buttons to allow uninterrupted viewing. After locking the screen, it can be unlocked by double-clicking the lock icon that appears in the top right corner of the player.

- Display Mode: Adjust the video ratio to match the original or fit the screen.

Coupang Play content is provided using files processed and supplied by the broadcasting companies or distributors that hold the copyrights. Please note that the upload of the latest or certain episodes may be delayed or restricted depending on the circumstances of the copyright holders.

Q. [How to Use] I want the next episode of the series to play automatically.

You can enable Autoplay for the next episode in Settings.
 
■ [Profile] → [Settings] icon in the top right corner → Select On/Off in [Autoplay]

Q. [How to Use] I want to save videos to watch later.

Tap the heart icon on content’s detail page to add it to your My List to watch later.
You can check your saved content by going to [Profile] → [My List].
To remove an item from the list, simply tap the heart icon again on the content’s detail page.

Q. [How to Use] How do I download content?

Use the Download feature to enjoy your favorite content anytime and anywhere, even without an Internet connection.

 


■ Downloading content

- Launch the [Coupang Play App] → Go to [Content] → [Content Details Page] and select Download

- Once the download is complete, you will see a green checkbox.

- Certain content may not be available for download due to copyright issues or requests from copyright holders.

- For a series with multiple episodes, you can click on the title to download each episode.

 


■ Managing downloaded content

- You can delete downloaded content by going to [Profile] → [Download] → clicking [Edit] in the upper-right corner.

- Downloads are available for 30 days, and for 48 hours once you start watching. 

- You can extend the viewing period of expired content by clicking on it. 

 


■ Watching downloaded content

- You can view your downloads in [Profile] → [Download].

- To play the content offline, please make sure to watch it via the [Download] menu! When played through Search or the content detail page, the content is streamed online using your data connection. 

 


However, the download feature is not available for individually purchased content.

Q. [How to Use] I can’t play the downloaded content.

You can keep downloaded content for 30 days from the time of download. Once played, it will remain available for 48 hours. Expired content can be re-downloaded from the content detail page without any limit on the number of downloads.

Q. [How to use] The download isn’t working.

For certain content, downloads are not available due to copyright holder restrictions.

 

Additionally, titles available to Rent or Buy cannot be downloaded.

Q. [How to Use] Do I have to use mobile data when I download content?

Please note that downloading content using mobile data may result in excessive data charges.
You can change Settings to allow downloads only in Wi-Fi environments.

Q. [Pass] How do I use the Sports Pass?

Coupang Play offers the Sports Pass service for a richer and more varied sports content viewing experience.

 

A Sports Pass subscription offers unlimited access to exclusive broadcasts, premium sports content, and specially produced content, including exclusive interviews with athletes and expert match analyses, available only on Coupang Play.

 

You can experience Sports Pass on the following devices:

- Smartphones and tablets (iOS, Android)
- Web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.)
- Smart TVs and streaming devices (Android TV, webOS TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, etc.)

 

※ Sports Pass offers the same experience to both non-WOW and WOW Members (up to 4K video quality etc.). For more information, please refer to the Sports Pass purchase page.

※ Content included in Sports Pass may change according to service policies.

Q. [Pass] How do I use the Sports Pass Club?

Sports Pass Club is an exclusive event program for Sports Pass subscribers.

You can check your score and ongoing events in the Coupang Play mobile app under the Profile menu.


The higher your score and ranking, the greater your chances of winning events. Check out the top tips below to get more benefits:

■ Keep your Sports Pass subscription
■ Watch live sports often
■ Visit Coupang Play often and have fun
■ Plus, enjoy Coupang Play to the fullest

 

The events you can participate in vary depending on your Sports Pass Club score, which is calculated based on your usage history starting from the date you subscribed to Sports Pass after June 15, 2025.

 

Your Sports Pass Club score is only valid during your subscription period. If you cancel your subscription, your score will be reset. Upon re-subscribing, your score will begin to accumulate anew.

Q. [Pass] I want to cancel my Pass and receive a refund.

If you haven’t watched any Pass or used any Pass-exclusive benefits (such as ticketing benefits or event participation) after paying for Sports Pass or any other Pass, you may cancel your subscription within the period for which the payment has been made.

 

■ How to cancel
- Cancellation: On the Coupang Play app or website, go to [Profile] > [My Subscriptions] > [View more (three dots) at the top right of your subscribed pass] > Select [Cancel Pass] 
- If you subscribed to Sports Pass or any other Pass via in-app purchase, cancellation must be requested directly through your payment provider.  
 ► Apple App Store customers: Cancel the pass directly via [Settings] > [Apple ID] > [Subscriptions] menu 
 ► Google Play customers: Cancel the pass directly via the [Google Play Store] > [Profile] > [Subscriptions] menu.

 

■ If you request a refund without having used any Pass
- You may cancel your Pass or Pass subscription and receive a refund. 
- If you subscribed using Coupay as your payment method, you can request a subscription cancellation by going to My Purchases > the three-dot menu at the top right of each content > the Refund button or by contacting Customer Service at 1600-9800. 
- If you made a payment via in-app purchase on iOS or Android, your subscription cancellation will be processed according to the refund policy of the respective app store, and you should request the refund through the store.

 

■ If you request a refund after using Sports Pass or any other Pass benefits 
- Benefits are available until the expiration date of the Sports Pass or any other Pass, and you will no longer be charged the monthly subscription fee after the Pass ends. 
- You can cancel auto-renewal through Settings > Manage Subscription or via the subscription management menu in your app store.

 

■ If you request the cancellation of your WOW Membership  
If you have any remaining time on your paid Sports Pass or any other Pass, you may use it only for the remaining period. 
※This policy may change in the future.

Q. [Pass] I want to change the payment method for my Pass

The method for changing your payment method for Sports Pass or any other Pass varies depending on the platform you used for payment. Please refer to the information below.

 

■ How to Change Your Payment Method for Sports Pass or any other Pass

- Customers who paid with Coupay: Coupang Play App / Web: [Profile] > [My Subscriptions] > [More (three dots) next to your subscribed pass] > Click the [Change Payment Method] button
- Customers who paid via Apple App Store: After adding a new payment method in [Settings > Apple ID > Payment & Shipping], move it to the top of the list to set it as the default payment method.
- Customers who paid via Google Play: Select the subscription in [Google Play > Payments & Subscriptions > Recurring Payments], then change the payment method.


■ Important Notes
- The updated payment method will be applied starting from the next billing date.
- In-app purchases are subject to each store's policies. For details, please contact Apple App Store or Google Play customer support.

Q. [Pass] Restrictions on the Use of Exclusive Passes After WOW Membership Cancellation

The Sports Pass or any other Pass offered at a WOW price is an exclusive product of WOW Membership, and is subject to a different pricing policy from the standard pass.

 

If you do not maintain your WOW Membership, access to the WOW Member-exclusive Sports Pass or any other Pass will be restricted.
Therefore, your Sports Pass or any other Pass must be cancelled directly through the customer service center of the in-app payment provider you used for payment.
※ Refunds are processed according to the policies of each in-app payment provider (Google or Apple).

Q. [Pass] I purchased a pass on my Android device, but it was suddenly refunded (Sports Pass or other Passes).

If an error occurs with your regular Sports Pass subscription payment, Coupang Play provides a 3-day grace period to allow you to update your payment method.

If the payment method is not updated within the grace period, your access to Sports Pass may be restricted—even if payment is successfully processed through Google in-app purchase.

Consequently, any invalid Google Pay transactions will be automatically refunded.

■ To continue your Sports Pass or other Passes, please choose one of the following options: 
- Re-subscribe to your Sports Pass or other Passes on the web version. 
- Complete the refund process for your Google payment and re-subscribe in the app.

When playing 4K or HDR content on certain Android devices, the video may not display properly due to device compatibility issues.


■ Solution for Android phones and tablets
1. Update the Coupang Play app to version 1.127.0 or later.
2. To change the setting:
Go to Profile > Settings, then turn off 4K & HDR Playback.


■ Solution for Android TVs
1. Update the Coupang Play TV app to version 2.34.2 or later.
2. To change the setting:
Go to Settings > Device, then turn off 4K & HDR Playback.


■ Solution for smart TVs
1. Update the Coupang Play TV app to version 1.15.1 or later.
2. To change the setting:
Go to Settings > Device, then turn off 4K & HDR Playback.

Q. [Playback Inquiry] The video quality is capped at 480p on Android devices.

First, reboot the device you are using and then re-run the Coupang Play app to check if the same issue occurs.


If the same phenomenon persists, please follow the procedure below.

① Search for “DRM info” in the Play Store and install the DRM Info app.

② Reboot the device you were using.

③ After running the installed DRM Info app, check the ""Security Level"" value in the Widevine CDM section.

④ Check if the value is Widevine L1.

④ - 1 If the value is L3, please contact Customer Service of the manufacturer of the device you are using.

④ - 2 If the value is L1, please address as follows:

- Long press the Coupang Play app, select [App information], then select [Storage] in Coupang Play [Application Information] → Select [Delete Data], [Delete Cache] or reinstall the app and reboot → Run Coupang Play and see if it’s working successfully.

If the issue persists, we recommend deleting and reinstalling the app or restarting your device.

Q. [Member/Sign In] Who has access to Coupang Play?

Coupang Play is available to all Coupang members (excluding paid content and Coupang Biz members).

However, some content is only available after signing up for WOW Membership or adding Sports Pass after joining WOW.

Coupang Play is only available to general Coupang members, and members who signed up with a Coupang Biz account are not eligible to user the service.

Coupang Play is a free content streaming service available to Coupang members (excluding some paid content).


■ Cancellation of WOW Membership
- How to cancel: [Coupang Play App] → [Profile] → Click the [Settings] icon in the upper right corner and scroll down → [Manage Coupang Account] → Select [Cancel WOW Membership]
- You can use Coupang Play as a regular Coupang member even if you cancel your WOW Membership subscription.
• You can cancel and rejoin WOW membership at any time.
- However, if you cancel your WOW membership, information such as downloaded content will be lost.
- Content you’ve purchased individually will remain available for viewing even after canceling your WOW membership. (Content you’ve rented can only be viewed during the rental period.)
- Please note that if you are not a WOW member, you will no longer be able to view content with the Pass you’ve subscribed to (regardless of the remaining valid period).

 

If you wish to close or delete your Coupang account after canceling your WOW membership, you can do so as shown below. Please note that this will result in termination of all services provided to Coupang members.


■ Close Coupang Account
- How to cancel: [Coupang Play App] → [Profile] → Click the [Settings] icon in the upper right corner and scroll down → [Manage Coupang Account] → Select [Close Coupang Account]
- When you close your member account, your personal information is completely deleted after a certain period of time. You will not be able to see your Coupang Play profile or viewing history when you rejoin and sign up for WOW membership again.

Q. [Member/Sign-in] Notice Regarding Account Sharing

Family profiles are permitted only for family members. Therefore, you are responsible for ensuring that your family members do not use your account for services other than Coupang Play.

 

If you share your Coupang account with a family member who uses a family profile, there is a possibility that the family member may access your personal information, use Coupang services other than Coupang Play without your permission, or make purchases using your account.

 

Coupang is not responsible for any issues that may arise from sharing your account with third parties, including family members, as in the cases mentioned above.

Q. [Member/Sign In] What is a profile?

Multiple family profiles can be created to watch content based on individual tastes.
Services such as continue watching and content recommendations are provided in a differentiated manner for each profile, based on individual viewing history.


You can create up to 5 profiles under a single account, and each profile can be set to either Adult Mode or Kids Mode.

 

However, in accordance with Article 10 of the Coupang Play Terms of Service, please ensure that no third party other than family members uses the Coupang Play service through your profile. In particular, as the members are responsible for managing their IDs and passwords, we kindly ask you to exercise extra caution.

Q. [Member/Sign In] How do I create a profile?

You can create up to 5 profiles per account. The first master profile you created after signing up for WOW Membership cannot be deleted.
 
■ How to create a master profile:
- Open the Coupang Play app → Sign in → Agree to the terms of use and create your master (initial) profile
 
■ How to create an adult profile:
- [Profile] → Click the [Profile] icon in the top-left corner → Select [Add] and create without enabling the [Kids Profile] mode.
- To watch content rated 19+ in an adult profile, age verification must be completed once per profile.
 
■ How to create a Kids Profile:
- [Profile] → Click the [Profile] icon in the top-left corner → Select [Add] and enable the [Kids Profile] mode when creating a new profile → Set a 4-digit PIN for Kids Mode
 
Please note that once a profile is set to Kids or Adult mode during creation, this setting cannot be changed later. To switch modes, you will need to delete the profile and create a new one.

Q. [Member/Sign In] What is a Kids Profile?

When you log in with a Kids Profile, only content rated for all ages, ages 7 and up, and ages 12 and up will show up, ensuring a safe viewing experience.

 

■ How to create your first Kids Profile

- [Profile] → Click the [Profile] icon at the top left → Select [Add] and then select [Kids Profile] mode to create a 4-digit Kids Mode password.

 

The steps for creating additional Kids Profiles are the same, and the Kids Mode password is automatically set to the same number as the first Kids Mode. Please note that you will need to enter the password when exiting Kids Mode and switching to another profile.

Q. [Member/Sign In] I want to delete a profile.

All profiles except the primary profile can be edited/deleted. However, the initially selected Kids/Adult mode cannot be changed. To switch modes, you will need to delete the profile and create a new one.

※ Deleted profiles cannot be recovered, and their viewing history will be automatically deleted.

Q. [Member/Sign In] I forgot my Kids Mode PIN.

If you’ve forgotten your Kids Mode PIN or need to change it, you can reset it by verifying your identity through your WOW Membership email account.

- [Profile] → [Settings] icon in the top right corner → [Kids Mode PIN] → Select [Verify via Email] → Verify your identity using your WOW Membership email account → Set a new PIN

 

To reset your PIN, please check whether the email from <no_reply@coupang.com> was sent to your Spam folder and ensure that you haven’t unsubscribed.

 

In addition, if you use a Naver email, please check your Billing/Payment folder.

If you’d like to delete content you’ve bought or rented, follow these steps:

- On the content detail page, tap the [Buy for KRW x,xxx] button → Select either [Rent] or [Buy] from the purchase options → Proceed with payment via Apple in-app purchase.

- Apple in-app purchases are processed using the payment method registered to your Apple account. To register or update your payment method, go to the [Settings] app on your iOS device → Tap your name at the top → Tap [Payment & Shipping] → Check, register, or add a payment method.

■ The viewing period for rented content begins at the time of payment and lasts for the rental duration specified for each title. After that, the content will expire. (For example, if you rent a title with a 2-day rental period at 10 AM on December 1, it will be available until 10 AM on December 3.)
■ You can check the exact rental expiration date for each Rent or Buy title on its payment confirmation page or in your purchase history.

■ Rent or Buy titles, whether purchased to own or rented, are not available for download.

Q. [Rent or Buy] How do I redeem event coupons?

Rent or Buy contents to which event coupons are applied are automatically registered during the checkout process. You can check whether a coupon is applied to the content at the checkout stage.

After selecting either the 'Rent' or 'Own' option for the content you wish to purchase, you can pay the final price with the event coupon applied.

You can see whether the event coupon has been applied below Coupay Payment Method in the checkout window.

Q. [Rent or Buy] I’d like to receive a refund for the content I purchased.

You may request a refund for individually purchased content on Coupang Play within 7 days of purchase or before the rental period expires. However, please note that refunds are not available if any portion of the content has been viewed.
 
If you would like a refund, please open the Coupang Play app or website and select [Profile] → [Rent or Buy] → the three-dot menu in the right corner of the content → [Request Refund]. Then, select one of the refund reasons below and submit your request.

■ Payment error
■ Change of mind
■ System errors related to content, video playback, etc.

 
After requesting a refund, you can check the refund processing status in the same menu. Refunds are processed within 3 business days from the date of request, using the original payment method. However, please be advised that processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and the bank, which may result in delays.

Some domestic entertainment, current affairs & cultural programs are offered on a weekly basis with a delay—typically 6 weeks to 3 months after their original broadcast—due to content providers’ policies.

4. 회사는 건전한 리뷰문화의 조성을 위해 이용자의 게시글 작성 권한을, 콘텐츠를 시청한 이용자 등으로 제한할 수 있습니다.

5. 리뷰는 회사가 정한 기간 내에서만 작성이 가능하며, 1콘텐츠당 1회에 한해 작성할 수 있습니다.

6. 이용자는 이용자가 작성한 게시물에 대해 직접 수정/삭제할 수 있으며, 삭제된 리뷰는 재작성이 불가합니다. 단, 권리침해신고 등에 따라 블라인드 처리된 리뷰는 임시조치기간 이후 복원된 때에 삭제가 가능합니다.

7. 회사는 서비스 홍보 등의 목적을 위해 포털, 소셜 네트워크 서비스를 포함하여 회사가 승인한 국내외 웹사이트 모바일 앱 등에 이용자가 등록한 게시물을 이용자의 동의에 따라 공개할 수 있습니다.

③ 회사는 다음 각 호에 해당하는 경우, 이용자가 작성한 게시물을 사전 고지 없이 블라인드 처리 또는 이동, 삭제할 수 있습니다.

1. 회사가 제공하는 서비스의 내용이나 화면 구성이 변경되는 경우

2. 본 운영정책 등 회사의 게시물 관련 운영정책에 따라 정해진 기간 또는 시점을 기준으로 조정이 필요한 경우

3. 기술적 지원의 어려움 등 회사의 사정으로 인해 더 이상 해당 게시물을 노출할 수 없거나 이동 또는 삭제가 필요한 상황인 경우

④ 회사는 이용자가 게시판에 작성한 게시물이 본 운영정책을 준수하지 않는 경우 블라인드 처리 또는 이동, 삭제할 수 있으며, 이용자가 운영정책을 위반하는 행위를 반복할 경우 게시물 작성 권한 제한 등 적절한 조치를 취할 수 있습니다.

⑤ 회사는 회사의 합병, 영업양도, 회사가 운영하는 사이트 간의 통합, 서비스 개편 등의 사유로 원래의 게시물의 내용을 변경하지 않고 게시물의 게시 위치를 변경할 수 있습니다.

⑥ 이용자가 와우 멤버십 서비스를 탈퇴 하거나, 『와우 멤버십 서비스 이용 약관 』, 『쿠팡플레이 이용 기준』 등에 의하여 서비스 이용이 제한되거나 와우 멤버십 서비스 회원 자격을 상실한 경우 작성자의 명시적인 의사표시가 없다면 원칙적으로 노출되나, 게시물에 따라 임의로 블라인드 될 수 있습니다.

 

제3조(이용자의 의무 및 게시물 등록 기준)

① 이용자는 다음 각 호의 행위를 하여서는 안 됩니다.

1. 회사 또는 제3자의 저작권 등 지식재산권을 침해하는 행위

2. 회사 또는 제3자의 명예를 손상시키거나 업무를 방해하는 행위

3. 콘텐츠와 관계없는 내용 또는 무의미한 키워드를 반복하여 사용하는 행위

4. 게시판의 목적에 부합하지 않거나 본 운영정책에 위배되는 모든 행위

② 게시판에는 다음 각 호에 해당하는 내용이 포함된 게시물은 게시될 수 없습니다.

1. 게시판의 개별 목적에 부합하지 않거나 해당 콘텐츠와 관련 없는 내용

2. 상거래 유도 등 특정 단체 또는 개인의 영리를 위한 상업적 내용. 구체적인 내용은 아래 각목과 같습니다.

가. 특정 콘텐츠제공자의 콘텐츠만을 대상으로 하여 우호적인 내용의 게시물을 다수 반복적으로 게시하였고, 이러한 게시물의 내용 및 게시 횟수 등을 종합적으로 고려할 때 특정 콘텐츠제공자와의 경제적 이해관계가 있다는 점이 합리적으로 의심되는 경우

나. 특정 콘텐츠제공자의 콘텐츠만을 대상으로 하여 적대적인 내용의 게시물을 다수 반복적으로 게시하였고, 이러한 게시물의 내용 및 게시 횟수 등을 종합적으로 고려할 때 특정 콘텐츠제공자의 경쟁사업자와 경제적 이해관계가 있다는 점이 합리적으로 의심되는 경우

3. 정당한 사유 없이 당사의 영업을 방해하는 내용. 게시물을 통해 이용자간 분쟁 상황으로 판단되는 경우를 포함합니다.

4. 다른 사람에게 성적 수치심을 주거나 혐오감, 불쾌감을 유발하는 내용

5. 『정보통신망 이용촉진 및 정보보호 등에 관한 법률』, 『전자상거래 등에서의 소비자 보호에 관한 법률』, 『개인정보 보호법』, 『저작권법』 등 관련 법령상 불법 혹은 공서양속에 위배되는 경우

6. 정당한 권한 없이 타인의 권리(지식재산권, 개인정보, 명예훼손 등)를 침해하는 내용

7. 특정인의 개인정보가 노출되는 내용

8. 성인콘텐츠, 성인용품, 성매매 또는 유흥업소 관련 내용

9. 애인대행 및 역할대행 서비스 관련 내용

10. 선정적이거나 혐오, 폭력적인 내용

11. 웹하드, P2P, 무료 음원 제공 관련 내용

12. 게임 아이템 거래 관련 내용

13. 도박, 카지노, 경륜, 경마 등 사행성이 포함된 내용

14. 대부업, 대부중개업 등 사금융 관련 내용

15. 흥신소, 심부름센터 관련 내용

16. 이미테이션 제품 홍보/판매 등 관련 내용

17. 복권 판매 내용

18. 총기, 도검류 판매 내용

19. 불법건강식품, 주류, 담배, 마약, 불법의약품 관련 내용

20. 해킹, 크래킹 관련 내용

21. 기타 불법 및 범죄적 행위에 결부 및 불법 행위를 조장하는 내용

22. 특정 개인이나 집단, 단체, 성별, 민족, 인종, 종교, 장애인 등에 대한 비방 및 차별 내용

23. 용공 등 이적 표현물

24. 공공질서 및 미풍양속에 위반되는 내용

25. 콘텐츠에 대한 평가가 아닌 그 외 요소에 대한 평가로 판단되는 경우

26. 기타 관련법령 및 이용약관, 이용 기준, 운영정책에 위배되는 경우

 

제4조(이용 제한 등)

① 회사는 이용자가 게시하거나 전달하는 서비스 내의 모든 내용물이 제3조 제2항에 해당하는 경우 사전 통지 없이 일부 또는 전부를 블라인드 할 수 있습니다.

② 회사는 이용자의 게시물로 인한 피해를 주장하는 제3자가 특정 게시물에 대한 블라인드를 요청하는 경우, 내부 기준에 따라 사전 통지 없이 일부 또는 전부를 블라인드 할 수 있습니다.

 

[권리침해신고에 따른 게시글 조치]

 

- 권리침해신고(임시조치 요청) 제도는 쿠팡플레이 이용자가 작성한 게시물(리뷰 등)로 인해 명예, 초상권, 사생활 등의 권리를 훼손, 침해 받았다고 생각하는 신고자가 게시물에 대해 임시조치 또는 삭제해줄 것을 요청할 수 있는 제도입니다.

- 권리침해신고가 접수된 게시물은 『정보통신망 이용촉진 및 정보보호 등에 관한 법률』 제44조의 2(정보의삭제요청)의 법령을 준수하여 30일간 임시조치(게시중단)를 진행하게 됩니다.

- 권리침해신고 절차와 별개로 신고자는 방송통신심의위원회 등 적법한 자격을 갖춘 관련 기관을 통해 권리 침해 여부에 대한 판단 및 게시물 조치에 대한 결정을 요청할 수 있으며, 회사는 그 결과에 따라 게시글의 삭제 또는 게시(재게시) 등의 조치를 취하게 됩니다.

 

■ 근거 법령

※ 정보통신망 이용촉진 및 정보보호 등에 관한 법률 제44조의2 (정보의 삭제요청 등)

    ① 정보통신망을 통하여 일반에게 공개를 목적으로 제공된 정보로 사생활 침해나 명예훼손 등 타인의 권리가 침해된 경우 그 침해를 받은 자는 해당 정보를 처리한 정보통신서비스 제공자에게 침해사실을 소명하여 그 정보의 삭제 또는 반박내용의 게재(이하 "삭제등"이라 한다)를 요청할 수 있다.
    ② 정보통신서비스 제공자는 제1항에 따른 해당 정보의 삭제등을 요청받으면 지체 없이 삭제·임시조치 등의 필요한 조치를 하고 즉시 신청인 및 정보게재자에게 알려야 한다. 이 경우 정보통신서비스 제공자는 필요한 조치를 한 사실을 해당 게시판에 공시하는 등의 방법으로 이용자가 알 수 있도록 하여야 한다.
    ③ 정보통신서비스 제공자는 제1항에 따른 정보의 삭제요청에도 불구하고 권리의 침해 여부를 판단하기 어렵거나 이해당사자 간에 다툼이 예상되는 경우에는 해당 정보에 대한 접근을 임시적으로 차단하는 조치(이하 "임시조치"라 한다)를 할 수 있다. 이 경우 임시조치의 기간은 30일 이내로 한다.

 

 

③ 회사는 이용자가 본 운영정책을 준수하지 않는 경우 『쿠팡플레이 이용 기준』에 따라 이용자에 대한 본 서비스 이용 제한, 와우 멤버십 서비스 회원 자격 제한 또는 상실 등의 조치를 취할 수 있습니다.

④ 게시글이 상거래 유도 등 특정 단체 또는 개인의 영리를 위한 상업적 내용 및 정당한 사유 없이 당사의 영업을 방해하는 내용 등을 포함하고 있는 점이 확인된 경우에는 쿠팡은 회사 서비스 이용의 제한 조치를 취할 수 있습니다.

⑤ 이용자가 특정 콘텐츠에 대해 고의, 반복적으로 악의적인 별점을 부여하는 예외적인 경우, 해당 별점은 해당 콘텐츠의 별점 통계에 미산입될 수 있습니다.

본 운영정책은 2024년 10월 18일 공고되며, 2024년 10월 25일부터 시행됩니다.
